I have been working in the wellness industry for 13 years as a personal trainer and wellness coach. I also have a background in NLP training, which, gives me the skills to not only create exercise and nutrition programs but to be able to help you make lifetime lifestyle transformations. I have coached national level athletes in figure / bodybuilding contest with great success including acting as a consultant to former Mr & MS Australia. I was referred to Michael through Mark McIntyre whilst talking about my struggle with understanding the right diet for female figure competing. I started working with Michael and EHS in 2010. This was my most successful year since starting competing three years ago. I managed through diet, supplementation and exercise to get my body fat percentage down to the lowest ever result and won my division – Figure Novice, along with coming 2nd in Short Figure at the Newcastle ASN Classic. I then went on to place 5th in the ANB Australian Titles. I have always had a good level of fitness but always struggled with diet. Under Michaels guidance I made an incredible improvement in my physique and also I now have a good understanding of diet both in the time leading up until the competition and also more importantly on the day of the competition. I cannot stress enough how important diet is. You can train like a machine but without the correct diet and understanding you potentially won’t get the best results that you could potentially achieve EHS (Erina and Newcastle) as a whole is a really helpful, informative and friendly business. Michael helped me with diet advice and always recommends the right supplements to help me achieve my goals. • In January 2011 at the start of my training with Michael Burkill and EHS I was assessed at 81kg and 7.96% body fat. Now in July and after 6 months of hard work I am 97kg and 10.02% body fat. I am very happy with these results! • Mentally & physically prepared for competition in the ANB teenage division in September and October 2011. • Obtained knowledge of nutrition & training! What exercise did you do to achieve this goal? At the moment it’s all about MASS, so heavy weight, 3-4 sets, 8-12 reps.Heavy Deadlifts have helped too & they have increased my strength. What eating plan did you follow to achieve this goal? Meal #1 OATS! Meal #2 2 Scoops P-Tech MASSIVE 1 Scoop extreme carbs & a piece of fruit or yogurt. Meal #3 Most days A LARGE bowl of pasta & chicken along with anything else nutritious I Can acquire. Meal #4 Same as meal 3. Meal #5 After I’ve trained I like to eat red meat so I conjure up a combination of red meat along with a large source of carbs e.g. sweet potato, rice, pasta etc. Meal #6 I’ve been leaving a protein shake out for when I get up for the bathroom during the night It’s pretty good. What challenges did you overcome to achieve your goal? Learning to cook, I am in the kitchen more often the a housewife in the 50’s! How did Michael and Elite Health assist you in achieving your goals? Michael has really helped with a lot from diets plans, supplements, exercise, helping me back on the right track when I failed at my diet and didn’t think I could actually do this.
